More Tech Fair Highlights

November 30, 2009

Boaz Munnerlyn from Dexis talked about the new Platinum sensor. This sensor is the primary reason Dexis was chosen as best in class. One unique feature of Dexis is the idea of “perfect size”. In other words just one sensor for all applications instead of multiple sizes.

Tech Fair Highlights

November 30, 2009

Dr.Mark Montgomery a dentist from Oregon demonstrated two of the amazing digital diagnostics devices from BioResearch including the JVA (Joint Vibration Analysis). Genius and “Stuff”

November 25, 2009

The quoted part of the article below takes a look at the “Stuff vs. Solutions” idea from the opposite end. What I see is that many, if not most, of the problems dental offices have with technology are not  problems with the “stuff” that  is the software or the sensor but problems with the “solution” that is the training [...]

Assessing Windows 7, one month later

November 24, 2009

Windows 7 review; mostly good some upgrade issues. For most dentists I suggest getting windows 7 on any new machines but wait on upgrading Windows XP. In fact the best solution is most likely to replace XP machines if they are over three years old with new Windows 7 machines and avoid an upgrade altogether.
It’s [...]

On the changing relationship between doctor and patient and that element of distrust

November 23, 2009

But the fact is it does matter. This whole enterprise is rife with unintended consequences, which IMHO are best discussed now not after the fact.
Guidelines become [...]

November 23, 2009

Some thoughts from the lioness Katherin Eitel on the economy and the power of perception. Nothing to do with technology. Well maybe there is; choosing to add technology now, expecting a prosperous future, could save you lots of money and prepare you to take advantage of the coming good times.
