I have been an avid Dentrix user for over ten years. My office administrator and co-consultant Laci is a certified Dentrix trainer. That is both good and bad.
The good is we have lots of experience we have a paperless office we have a very complete data base. but there is a bad.
We are used to doing things in a certain way and there are some new features or improved operations we just haven’t learned and adopted. Knowing this we brought in a Dentrix trainer for a half day yesterday and it was great. The trainer was Valerie Schnitker. Valerie was a little nervous coming into an office with a fellow trainer and advanced users, never the less she did a very good job and everyone learned some new ways of doing things to improve how we use our system.
The point is you don’t have to be sick to get better. Training is not a one time event. Virtually every office needs to have ongoing training sessions once or twice a year.
