Cerec Blue Cam Video

This 4 minute video demonstrates the use of the Cerec Blucam that was introduced early in 2009. The camera has a unique functionality, it detects motion and will automatically capture an image once it is still and stable. No foot controls or taking an image with a moving and blurry camera. Bluecam still requires the use of powder. Users say this is fine as it means less images as compared to an iTero for example which does not need powder but needs images from multiple angles to create a virtual model. On the other hand powdering remains an issue with new users.

If you have the old Cerec system you can exchange it for the new version. You need both a new camera and a new cart and computer. Sirona offers a trade in value pro-rated to the age of your existing Cerec unit.
