The HP TouchPad and Motorola Xoom are legitimate threats to the iPad. And if they were available now, I’d buy them over an iPad. Here’s why:
As awesome as the iPad is it suffers from a significant flaw as far as dentists are concerned…it is a MAC. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
The fact is (for better or for worse) that all leading dental software applications run on Windows. That means using an iPad is possible but requires some work arounds. A native Windows (or more accurately an Android) system should be easier to use…in theory.
So far there has been a lot of Android-Windows tablet hype but we have yet to see them in action.
