There are three numbers that will tell you how long your new printer will last. In fact according to the article most printers will only last ten months or less at maximum duty.

A key specification that you can find in the spec sheets for most laser printers is monthly duty cycle. This tells the maximum number of pages you can print in a given month without risking damage to the printer.
