Mayo Clinic in Arizona to Stop Treating Some Medicare Patients

I repeat; “As much as I revile insurance companies and see gross problems and inequities in the current health careĀ  system I do not see any evidence that taking medicine from a free enterprise system to a government system will make things better.”

Is this an unintended consequence? It seems pretty easy to predict to me.

The Mayo Clinic, praised by President Barack Obama as a national model for efficient health care, will stop accepting Medicare patients as of tomorrow at one of its primary-care clinics in Arizona, saying the U.S. government pays too little.
