I have been looking for some actual research to indicate how effective Internet marketing especially Social Media is for dentists. Here it is, some interesting Research from Sesame Communications:
Sesame conducted a 5 month study of 306 Member practices to determine if multiple online marketing campaigns increase new patient leads. Study results indicate that adding an additional online marketing campaign improves lead generation of new patients. The largest increase in call volume occurred when 3 online marketing campaigns were used concurrently. The study tested effectiveness of three services – organic SEO, social media management, and pay per click search engine advertising.
- Members with just one campaign averaged 37 calls per month with 9 calls self-identified as new patients
- Members with two campaigns averaged 48 calls per month with 11 calls self-identified as new patients
- Members with three campaigns averaged 87 calls per month with 21 calls self-identified as new patients
- At an industry standard new patient value of $900,4 Sesame Search services potentially generate as much as $18,720 in incremental production each month for a practice
