Another report on Yelp from DoctorBase. As I have written in the past I believe…on a theoretical basis…that more open communication is a good thing and that subpar dentists and physicians should be brought to the attention of the public…BUT…The system as it is, is rife with the potential for abuse.

One of our own doctors (an instructor at a top-5 medical school & president of a national medical association) was solicited by Yelp’s advertising department just this past month. After politely declining, they noticed 2 negative reviews from faceless reviewers appear on their profile within the next 2 weeks.
