Social media cuts both ways. It is possible to reach a lot of people very quickly with good news but it is equally possible for lies and slander to travel quickly. The article linked below from the ADA news describes how powerless a lone person is when faced with malicious comments on a web site.

The comments were among those in a single review posted about Dr. Wong at Yelp.com. At that time, it was the only review Dr. Wong found among the bevy of online consumer review sites proliferating on the Internet.
