Auto Reminders Reduce No-shows

Sesame research finds dental practice no-shows declined by 23% in the first 36 months of automated appointment reminder implementation.

The five year study of actual performance data (1,604,184 appointments at 64 dental practices), tracked no-show appointments that were documented in the practice management software. The following findings should be considered conservative since many practices do not consistently input no-shows into their practice management systems.

The study spanned 24 months of appointment information prior to activating Sesame automated appointment reminders and 36 months post-activation. The goal was to ascertain how no-shows altered after implementing automated appointment reminders.
