5 Easy Steps to Measure Social Media Campaigns

I have asked many dental offices using social media campaigns to tell me how it is working and so far none have been able to give me any real data.

If you’re using social media for your business, you should be measuring it. But dont measure just for the sake of having metrics. Instead, measure your social activities so that you can learn whats successful, what isn’t and how you can improve.

Frankly the five steps don’t seem all that “easy” to me. On the other hand they are a lot better than nothing.

It starts by determining what your goals are with social media. Is it to bring in new patients? Is it to increase usage from existing patients? Is it to improve communications and general good will regarding the practice? Or is it, as I suspect it is with most dental campaigns, just the current cool thing to be doing?

Once you have established your goals you then need to find a way to measure success. In the early days that may be just adding likes or views. Eventually you need to determine if the time, effort and money spent on social media is paying off with more or better business.
