Online Passwords, Accounts, Data – Digital Death Day

Interesting article. What happens if you are suddenly gone? Who has access to your passwords and online accounts? In the office who has access to the deepest levels of Dentrix or Quickbooks? The article indicates there are some very nebulous legal issues that have yet to be answered. The best advice is to include a digital will along with a traditional will that gives details on all your online accounts passwords and such.

Passwords, banking records, social media accounts—day by day our lives create more and more data. But what becomes of all that data when we pass away is a looming problem with no clear answer.
