Some phishing tips from Ted Takahashi at T2 Consulting:

These scams work by tricking you into clicking a link or attachment that either infects your computer with malware or takes you to a page that looks legit, but isn’t, and illegally steals your private information.

Phishing scams and Ransomware are widespread and getting worse. Phishme reports:

  1. 91% of cyberattacks and the resulting data breach begin with a phishing email
  2. Phishing campaigns are up 55%
  3. Ransomware attacks are up 400%

Learning to recognize these scams is your first line of defense.
