The article linked here is aimed at home Wi-Fi networks however it applies to small office networks as well. If you have a Wi-Fi network in your dental office, and there are many reasons that would be useful, then it MUST be secure.

On the other hand you may find it valuable to offer “free” Wi-Fi to patients in order to use the net while sitting in your office. If you decide to do this you need to have a very secure wall between your office network and the free Internet access you offer to customers.
