About Larry Emmott

Dr. Larry Emmott is one of the most entertaining speakers in dentistry and he is considered the leading dental high tech authority in the country. He has over thirty years of experience as a practicing general dentist in Phoenix, AZ. He will have you laughing while you are learning.

He has addressed hundreds of professional groups, has been a featured speaker at every major US dental meeting. He is a regular contributor to leading national magazines and was the high tech columnist for "Dental Products Report" Magazine. He has been a pioneer in online publishing with his blog EmmottonTechnology.com. and he makes frequent radio and television appearances.

Dr. Larry Emmott is one of the most entertaining speakers in dentistry and he is considered the leading dental high tech authority in the country. He has over thirty years of experience as a practicing general dentist in Phoenix, AZ. He will have you laughing while you are learning.

Dr. Emmott was raised in Arizona and attended the University ofArizona. He graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1977.

He is also an entertaining award winning professional speakerand seminar leader. He has addressed hundreds of business and professional groups on a variety of subjects, including: Computer Use in the Dental Office, Clinical Applications
of Intra Oral Video,
Practice Management and Marketing for Professionals and Communications. He was a Featured Instructor at the Pride Institute on Technology. He also founded and leads a dental computer users group and maintains a dental users world wide web site.

Dr. Emmott is the monthly technology columnist for Dental Products Report Magazine and has had many articles published in national magazines on High Tech dentistry, practice development, management,
communications and related topics. He is the founder and director of a dental computer users group, and provides high tech dental consulting for dentists and industry. He also produces a monthly newsletter on management and computer use in the dental office distributed via the Internet and he has developed and maintains a computer users Internet web site.

In 1997 he led a group of dental technology consultants and vendors in the development of “Treatment Room 2001”. This unique ongoing project brought together the leading dental technology companies and put them together in a hands on integrated dental office exhibit.

He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Arizona State Dental Association, Central Arizona Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the prestigious American Academy of Dental Practice Administration as well as other professional associations.  He has spoken to many dental organizations including major regional and national groups such as the Yankee Dental Congress, the Chicago Midwinter, the Hinman and the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration and has beena featured speaker at every ADA technology day.

Among his many awards Dr. Emmott has been recognized by Toastmasters International as an “Accredited Speaker”. This special award recognizes professionalism and outstanding achievement in public speaking and has been presented to only twenty-three people worldwide.

Dr. Emmott makes frequent appearances on radio and television. He has had a number of articles published in national magazines on dentistry, computers, practice development, management, communications and related topics. He also produces a monthly newsletter on management and computer use in the dental office distributed via the Internet. He is an active consultant and he has produced a cassette album for dentists and their staffs entitled The 87 1/2 % Solution.
