Dental Art

“Apollonia”This is the sixth and final Apollonia painting. This is a modern work obviously quite different than the Apollonia paintings from centuries past. The most obvious difference is her nakedness plus the gruesome forceps covering her face. Contrast this with the delicate forceps depicted in older works. Apollonia is the patron saint of dentistry.¬†You can read her sad tale here.

Dental art is anything that depicts teeth or dentistry in an interesting or artistic way. If you have any suggestions for future Dental Art pieces please send them to me or give me a link. Thanks.
