That brush, called the Prophix, can then take 10-megapixel photos and stream 1080p video of the inside of your mouth, sending it all to the requisite companion app over Bluetooth and WiFi.

I am not sure if this is cool or kinda yucky.

What if the user uploaded and transmitted the photos to the dentist? Would that be valuable? How often would we want to see them? Maybe as a follow up after treatment?

The expected price is $400. At that rate I do not expect we will see many in use. On the other hand what if the dentist sent the patient home with one after treatment and asked for daily images to track healing. No more post ops.
