There must be more to this story. If not, it is a sad example of politics over common sense and technolgical progress. It is frightening to think that these people are now going to be controlling our healthcare.

…the Justice Department threatened several universities with legal action because they took part in an experimental program to allow students to use the Amazon Kindle for textbooks?

Politics? There is a lot of money in publishing textbooks – electronic versions make a lot more sense, but it would not make sense at some of the crazy prices many text books are sold at
