The company said it’s the world’s largest television, passing Sharp’s 108-inch LCD HDTV, unveiled at last year’s CES.

Matsushita said the 150-inch display is equal to the size of nine 50-inch Plasma TVs. The set measures 12.5 feet diagonally.
The company added that the set will be available in 2009, but did not provide pricing.
At CES 2006, Matsushita introduced a 103-inch Plasma HDTV, which was priced at $69,000. The company said today that 3,000 of those sets have been sold to date.
