Impressive:
A laptop in tablet form, Surface Pro brings together the best of Microsoft in one awesome new device.

I have never been a fan of laptops in the dental treatment rooms. On the other hand I have been hoping that tablets would find a place in dentistry.
However the most popular tablet (by far) the iPad is a wonderful personal entertainment device but fails as a business productivity tool.
The Surface Pro seems to be a serious alternative. Unlike the iPad it has a keyboard, a stylus for signatures and accepts USB connections to easily attach radiograph sensors and cameras.
However don’t run out and get a handful of Surface tablets right away. The surface uses Windows 8. Although Windows 8 has received high marks from early adaptors very few dental applications have been upgraded to run on it.
