Finding a New Dentist

I recently heard a very interesting and extremely relevant discussion about choosing a dentist in the Internet age.

A well educated, urban, thirty something said that in her group the common method of choosing a dentist was:

Google search (or equivalent) a geographic area for dentists. Eliminate any dentists that are not on their insurance plan. Eliminate any that do not have web pages; then check the reviews. Those dentists with good online reviews are the first choice.

As a dentist who participates in DR. Oogle, It’s been a life-saver for my practice. It is well worth the effort to ask satisfied patients for the favor of posting few good words, and well worth the monthly fee.
