Those of us who grew up in the last half of the 20th century know that we haven’t always been so spoiled. In fact, plenty of technology that we grew up with has become obsolete and foreign to younger generations.
An alternative headline could be:
Ten Technologies made Obsolete by Smart Phones and the Internet
In addition to being fun clickbait this article actually illustrates one of my suggestions for dentists looking to implement new technology. Rather than try and guess “The Next Big Thing” that will allow you to do something completely new instead ask “What will I never do again?”
For example when I first looked at the Internet I did not think to myself, “I will never read a paper newspaper again.” yet that is what has happened. If you were deciding where to invest your marketing budget would you buy a newspaper ad or invest in a Google business page?
