Wyatt Earp’s brother Virgil described Doc Holliday as “gentlemanly, a good dentist, a friendly man” and a “slender, sickly fellow.” Another friend, lawmaker Bat Masterson, told a biographer that Holliday “was afraid of nothing on Earth.”

Of course Doc Holliday is not famous for being a dentist he is famous for gunning down a pack of Cowboys with the Earps at the OK corral in Tombstone. Nevertheless, since he is famous, he was a dentist and he became famous in Arizona I have read great deal about his short and violent life. However there were quite few new bits I had not seen before in the linked article. Including the fact that he wasn’t actually a bad dentist and won an award for “best teeth in gold” from a North Texas Fair.
