More wisdom from Seth Godin:

Digital analogs only work when they’re better and different, not when they’re almost the same.

As always with Godin it is worth the click to read the whole thing.

He makes a point I have been stressing for years. Of course he does it better in his direct, compact style.

The point is that digital systems should not be copies of our old paper systems but instead, in order to be useful they need to be better, and in order to be better they must be different.

Perfect example: digital patient records.
