Dentistry by its very nature is rule driven and slow to change. Dentists cannot just throw out all the rules and try something completely different. It is totally not OK for us to experiment on patients. We must follow proven processes.

Dentists are slow to change and only accept new ways to do things that have been approved by others they know and respect. That is great, in fact imperative, when dealing with clinical treatment but it can keep us from making decisions when it comes to business and technology.
