Dental Plan gets hacked:
Advantage Dental has notified more than 150,000 patients across the state of a breach of personal patient health information after an internal database at Advantage was accessed illegally, company officials said Monday.
The unauthorized access occurred between Feb. 23 and Feb. 26. An intruder was able to gain access to the database through a computer that had been infected with malware. Advantage terminated the illegal access immediately upon discovery on Feb. 26, the dental services provider said.
