4. Create a response plan

I believe most dentists do not have a plan for cyber disaster, but they should. At the very least you should have phone numbers on hand for your tech support team and your local IT pro. Make sure you know where your back ups are located. Assign basic tasks to team members. Plus have all this written out and printed. If the system goes down or is held for ransom and you only have a digital copy of the disaster plan the plan will be inaccessible just like your practice data.
