Following the announcement that the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) will begin random HIPAA audits of healthcare facilities, including dental offices, HHS created the linked protocol page to help navigate the audit process.
I assume it was created with good intentions. The ADA News called it a “cheat sheet” which implies it has easy to use tips and tricks to easily navigate audit. Hmmm…not so much.
Just scrolling and attempting to read the first section reveals an impenetrable gobbledy gook of bureaucratese.
