Microsoft Previews 8.1

Microsoft will use its annual developers conference to release a preview of Windows 8.1, a free update that promises to address some of the gripes people have with the latest version of the company’s flagship operating system.

Windows 8 gets a tweak that brings back some old features, like the start button. Or at least a button similar to the button formerly known as Start. Most of the tweaks are designed to make Windows 8 easier to use and the transition from the desktop centric Windows 7 less traumatic.
