Windows 8.1 has hit the shelves and the reviews are coming in.
The update includes one subtle interface tweak that could prove to be the most important in getting Windows 8 holdouts to finally start embracing the new UI: the ability to share the same background between the Start screen and the Desktop.
Most everyone agrees the 8.1 update is a big improvement. Windows 8 in general still suffers from issues related to integrating a touch interface with a keyboard and mouse interface. But at least they have done it.
Personally I like it but have only used it in demo not as my everyday OS.
However for now it doesn’t matter how great it is as most everyday dental applications will not run well or at all on 8.
